Arris Contracting Co., Inc. was the General Construction Trade Contractor on the Rombout Middle School Addition and Alteration Project for the Beacon City School District.
This project consisted of extensive interior renovations that included new Administration offices and the cafeteria renovation and expansion.
There was a 22,000 square foot addition that required caisson foundation work and an extensive grade beam design due to poor soil conditions.
The addition included a new main entry leading into a welcoming two story rotunda used for student gatherings and displays. It was also comprised of a new Library, Computer Lab, Teacher’s Learning and Conference Center and a new Music area.
The project had provisions for sitework and drainage improvements, along with parking expansion.
This project was completed for owner occupancy for the start of the September 2006 school year as scheduled.
