Two-story addition construction at Montgomery C. Smith Intermediate School included new gymnasium addition, new classroom addition and new 2nd floor classroom addition on top of existing 1st floor classrooms. Existing building renovations consisted of total building window replacements, HVAC replacements/upgrades throughout, new ceilings and lighting throughout classrooms, door replacements, addition of single bathrooms in kindergarten and special needs rooms. Exterior work included a storm detention system, new entrance drive, new parking lots, sidewalks and curbing. New Playground equipment and fencing. The new primary wing will house pre-kindergarten through first grade. This is the final phase of the $20 million capital project.
