Location: Yorktown Heights, NY

Completion Date: Fall 2016

In 2012 the PNW BOCES districts awarded a $17 million bond for roofing, ceiling, lighting, and HVAC upgrades to their main and Fox Meadow campuses.

The first phase began in June 2013 and consisted of 78,000 sf of roof removal and replacement at Building “B”. Additional components of the project included new ceilings, lighting, and HVAC to the main kitchen, dining, and gymnasium areas. The Fox Meadow campus Building 9 had a complete roof removal and replacement, and deck replacement.

The second phase of the project was awarded in April 2014. Major features of the work included Building D reroofing, complete HVAC upgrades, new ceilings, and lighting. Additionally, the Fox Meadow campus Buildings 7 and 8 had their metal deck and roofs replaced.

Another project awarded in April 2014 was the locker room and therapy center renovations. The existing pool facility was in dire need of replacement and was replaced with 2 smaller therapy pools which have treadmill floors that rise from 0” to 5’ deep.  This feature enables the therapists to adjust the water environment to optimal height meeting each individual student’s needs. The locker rooms are fully renovated with new plumbing fixtures, showers, lockers, HVAC, ceiling, and lighting upgrades.

PNW BOCES became the first public school in New York to offer state-of-the-art aqua therapy with the unveiling of its two, new therapy pools on Wednesday, May 27. The twin pools feature movable floors, built in treadmills and underwater cameras.

Buildings A, C, and E were completed the Fall of 2016, and consisted of roofing, HVAC upgrades, ceilings, and lighting.
